Fitoussi is back!

October 15th: Fitoussi burst back into country cups calculations today at the Moe Cup meeting, that was transferred to Cranbourne due to the heavy spring rains. On a track that was rated as a heavy 10 and over 1600m, a distance considered a little too short for him, he was sent out at $20. Fitoussi settled well back in last position, some 15 lengths from the lead and then at the 400m ,as he did in the autumn at Caulfield, pulled out wide and rounded them up in 200m to scoot away to win by 1.5 lengths. A very happy Peter Moody had told the connections during the week that Fitoussi had pleased in over the past 2 weeks and that “he was back”. He now considering running him in the Bendigo and Ballarat cups in late October and mid November. He will pay to follow.
